There are two sides to every door and window — when was the last time you considered their looks and functionality from the insider's perspective? Is the paint or stain mismatched, worn, or outdated? Are they difficult to access or operate? Could they be repositioned, rehung, removed, or relocated to improve foot traffic and livability throughout your home? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then Braendel Painting & Remodeling of Buffalo is open to your call.
Can I put a window/door in a load-bearing wall?
In general, you should not cut holes in a load-bearing wall. If you're unsure about whether a wall is load-bearing or not, get a professional consultation.
Can I put a new door in an old door frame?
Getting a new door doesn't mean you need an entirely new frame. As long as the new door is compatible with the existing frame, you can simply remove the old door and place it with the new one.
What kind of window/door should I get?
What kind of window or door you should get depends on several factors: whether you're installing a new frame, what fits into your existing frame if not, how you want your window to open, and what works with your current interior design.
Will new windows/doors lower my heating/cooling bills?
While it's not guaranteed, a new window or door can help lower your heating and cooling bills. This is because old or improperly installed windows and doors allow inside air to escape.
We recently had the exterior of our house and shed painted and were very happy with the quality of the work and the price was reasonable.
If there was anything keeping us from a 5 star rating it was only the time it took to complete. We were originally quoted 3 days but it took about a week. I got the impression they were a little tight on staff.
I will say Tom and Rob were very friendly and professional and did very good work! The few minor concerns and touch ups we had were addressed the same day we brought them up. Good job guys!
We bought our home 18 years ago and I can honestly say that it has never looked better! We have a Tudor style home with cedar siding and stucco. They were very thorough. Our home was a few years over due for a new paint job and they made sure it received the extra care it needed. The people were so responsive from start to finish. The crew was friendly & professional. They finished in the time that they said it would take and everything was completely cleaned up when they left. I am just thrilled with the outcome.
I have been dealing with Jeff from Braendel for 3 years now. They painted my historic 1851 home deep in the heart of Allentown NY. They were the best quote(Always get quotes to make sure even the suggested are fair), They did the job clean w/o us even being bothered of their presence. I had a few small spots 2 years later that were peeling and Jeff had his crew come out and do touch ups no questions asked. I know that this stuff is expected when you hire someone, but if you have ever hired out for a job this is not always the case. I give them 2 thumbs up and I am very picky having been in the customer service industry my whole life. I hope this helps in this emotional decision.
We had Braendel paint the exterior of our aluminum sided home. The job turned out amazing!! The workers were here on time each day, very professional and cleaned up after each days work. They were very responsive to the many questions I asked of them also. They also painted our concrete steps and vinyl shutters which turned out fantastic. When prepping and painting our home, they paid attention to all the details of our Dutch colonial.
We highly recommend Braendel
The staff and service personnel at Braendel's are the best I have ever experienced. They are very thorough when it comes to the work performed as well as cleaning up afterward.
The prices for the service are very competitive as well.
